Thank you for writing this - it’s so great to have a group of people talking about this city and moment (and cringe or not, it’s very telling that it feels novel to have people boosting London rather than whingeing about it). Gutted to have missed the first one but will be at one of the future meet-ups.
It’s a good time to be optimistic about the city, especially with the VC rounds into AI companies. But I’m more of a fan of the “cluster” era of Silicon Roundabout when you could walk around a specific place and literally bumpy into people. These days startups are all over the city, which is far too big to get a handle on outside of individual events. And Kings Cross is far too expensive to house startups in this era. Headhunters will love it though.
